Chris Janson Tucson reviews
I would echo "go for Imagine Dragons"
Imagine Dragons was amazing. First time seeing them and they have so much energy and enthusiasm. Amazing use of the stage. The fact that I am very visual beyond me. I LOVED Imagine Dragons. AWOLNATION, and I left feeling like the CD is more worthwhile than the stage show. When I pay that much money, I want to SEE the band. I couldn't agree more. I went for AWOLNATION, and I left feeling like the show was over when Imagine Dragons was done. AWOLNATION basically played in the dark, no spots. Great for their light effects, I guess, and maybe they have stage fright, IDK. On one song, he actually sank to his knees and then lay down on the floor to play. The whole row of ladies next to us were offended enough to get up and leave. I am VERY visual, and I COULD NOT see the musicians perform, not their faces, just silhouettes. I hope this does not become a trend. He radiates charm, and he was rapping his heart out. Loved his freestyle bit. They had so much charisma and presence, not to mention musicianship, that I thought I thought they WERE Chris Janson, just playing their new stuff. Actually, the show pretty much was over, as far as I am concerned. I want to SEE the band. My son liked the A/N performance better than I did. I got a "taking a nap" vibe from that, like he was bored with us, and just going through the motions. Also, although Aaron sounded good, and his antics may have played well to the younger audience, again IDK, it didn't work at all for me. Zeale. Had never heard of them. As it happens, I don't much like rap. They did as well as any rap act I've seen, but I just think the genre is bland and tasteless, and honestly is not really "music".
